WVU Mountaineer Mascot Women's Tee
The official mascot of West Virginia University, the Mountaineer mascot appeared at West Virginia sporting events as early as 1927. Starting in the 1934-35 season with WVU track runner Lawson Hill, the school developed a process to select a student to roam the sidelines holding a muzzle-loading rifle, wearing a coonskin cap, and rallying fans in support of the team.
